Welcome to the Gloucester City Shamrock Festival's Website. The Gloucester City Irish Society and the City of Gloucester will be hosting the Shamrock Festival on Saturday, September 13, 2008 from 11am-7pm. The Shamrock Festival is held at Gloucester City’s historic “Proprietor’s Park & Marina,” which is favorably situated along the Delaware Waterfront at 225 South King Street in Gloucester City.
The annual day-long Irish celebration, which attracts thousands of visitors, commemorates the rich Irish community of Gloucester City. The event is co-sponsored by The Gloucester City Irish Society and the Gloucester City Urban Enterprise Zone.
This year’s event features two continuous entertainment stages with LIVE Irish music by Black 47, Birnam Wood, Paddy’s Well, The Broken Shillelaghs, the Misty Dewars and the Camden County Emerald Society Pipe Band. The festival also includes children’s entertainment, craft and food vendors, a beer garden, and more.
