Welcome to the Gloucester City Shamrock Festival's Website. The Gloucester City Irish Society will be hosting the Shamrock Festival on Saturday, September 19, 2009 from 12-7PM. The Shamrock Festival is held at Gloucester City's historic "Proprietor's Park & Marina," which is favorably situated along the Delaware Waterfront at 225 South King Street in Gloucester City.
The annual day-long Irish celebration, which attracts thousands of visitors, commemorates the rich Irish community of Gloucester City. The event is also sponsored by the Gloucester City Urban Enterprise Zone.
This year's event features seven hours of continuous entertainment, which includes one of the region’s best Irish bands, BLACKTHORN. The festival also includes children's entertainment, craft and food vendors, a beer garden, and more.
