Gloucester City Irish Society

The GCIS is located in Gloucester City, New Jersey and have a very strong Irish heritage. They are committed to organizing social events that will in turn help benefit needy organizations and programs throughout our community as well as the society itself. The GCIS is supported through corporate and private donations. It is these donations that help propel our organization to success. GCIS benefits various local organizations, clubs and most importantly needy families throughout our Irish community. Some of the needy organizations that we benefit include Monsignor Lucitt's Needy Children's Fund & Gloucester City's Thanksgiving Food Drive. The path to economic success in Gloucester City starts here, with the Gloucester City Urban Enterprise Zone (GCUEZ) program. The UEZ program was developed by the State of New Jersey to help promote redevelopment in its urban centers. The goal of the UEZ is to promote sustainable growth by helping businesses succeed in city neighborhoods. The GCUEZ offers participating businesses an advantage by providing incentives that encourage growth while stimulating the local economy.
